Summary
Revolving around Jonas Mekas' trip back to Semeniskiai, the village of his birth, REMINISCENCES OF A JOURNEY TO LITHUANIA is a personal journey that consists of three parts narrated by Mekas himself. The first part is footage that was shot with his Bolex during his first years in America through 1950 to 1953. The second part was shot in August 1971 in Lithuania, the footage comes from Semeniskiai. The third part being with a parenthesis in Elmshorn, a suburb of Hamburg, where he spent a year in a forced labor camp during the war.
