Wild Gunman1978

  • 3.4
Mobilizing wildly diverse found-footage fragments, obsessive optical printing and a dense "musique concrete" soundtrack, a maniac montage of pop-cultural amusements, cowboy iconography and advertising imagery is re-contextualized within the contemporary geopolitical crisis in this scathing critique of U.S. cultural and political imperialism.

This is a fantastic found-footage film (say that five times fast!). Baldwin sutures together early video games, commercials, science fiction films, psychological experiments, and propaganda films into a pretty disturbing vision of mind control culture. The sound alone is terrifying.
