Wow, that was . . . . Did I miss something? Talk about imagination, . . .. Fun is difficult for serious people, but I think this was fun. How the hell can you review something like this? Ok, it was fun. Whew. I give it one . . . . . maybe four stars . . . . I think.
A mumblecore cyber-existentialist horror film in which Napolean Dynamite meets Serial Experiments Lain. A bad acid-trip of the mundane that might just be a homily against smartphone culture. It fits into the genre of films-about-people-making-films like Fellini's 8 1/2, and Synechdoche, New York. The rich tradition of anxieties that existence is just chimeric simulcra is updated with contemporary media metaphors as being is a digital simulation and death is what happens to the video game when it is turned off. When the singularity hits our solipsistic universes, we will be found hiding deep inside our own fantasies, furiously masturbating.
Unexpected and Awesome Fun! Todd Rohal helms Kent Osborne's sequel to the meta-realism of "Uncle Kent" and steers it into something quite different.
pretty funny sometimes dumb_kent is sort of tiresome_but i guess that's ok_some of it is cool and some doesn't work at all_i think it's a good thing that the hot comic girl fell asleep & the cat girl dissolved _nothing like the spice of thin air
Yay! That was uplifting, haven't laughed with a movie for quite some time.
Entertaining!!
