Not overplayed. Seemed true. Painful. Paul did get to "enjoy" his new relationship, and somehow, he didn't seem to take responsibility for the havoc he created. His wife rightly accused him of "still playing the victim." We are left trying to imagine just how it felt to betray and to live a lie for those five months. The problem is not learning how to live with a new partner. It is learning how to live with ourselves. Thankfully, did not try to blame his wife directly for his choices and his behavior.

Something dies in these situations , permanently dies.

Liked it. Acting overall was pretty good, male lead could have been a bit more convincing. Well written and produced.

Though the opening scene might lead one to surmise that this film will be just another soft-core porn treatment of a love triangle, the director Radu Muntean has fashioned instead a very intense and realistic portrait of the fleeting pleasures and ultimately deeper agonies people may suffer in such an arrangement. The three principal Romanian actors who play Paul, Adriana, and Raluca put in exceptional and subtle performances, especially Mirela Oprisor who plays Adriana with a muted agony that seems at times almost heart-wrenching. The conclusion is quite open-ended with the viewer left wondering how indeed Paul and Raluca will be able to pick up the pieces and continue their relationship into the future.

Paul is a jerk_don't see how Raluca could be in love with him_he just doesn't have the energy_Adriana has every right to be pissed off_Mara (the daughter i think is wonderful) everyone is_ the film is filled with all of these awkward moments feels really real_the clock is ticking & people are feeling uneasy_Raluca is really sexy she should get a better guy

No answers here. It is hard to feel compassion for the man, and yet we all know so many men who have fought this same scenario. I was impressed with the acting. I have no idea how professional they are, but they are very believable. I actually went back and watched this a quick second time, and it held up well. A pretty heavy movie that I kept hoping would soften. Caveat emptor

There were many layers to this film. Perhaps male or female interpretations would be totally different, which made this study of marriage versus extra-marital affairs very intriguing. Don't want to give too much away, so watch it!

Straight to the point depiction about a not so very pleasant situation - It made me wonder why either couple or coupling would want to be together at all, anyway.

Very well doen and insightful. The acting was supurb, and in fact it felt like you were watching a real marriage breaking up.

Good film. Paced a bit slow, but works with the character development. Very moving, sad climax.

Intense - what if? forbidden fruit film. Lovely execution and open ended.

Its a good story and well acted but almost feels like half a movie. At least its not as dumb as most American movies of this type.

Not a single character was overplayed. Each actor sold their performance perfectly.

Without superb performances from the three lead actors the film would have been less than it was but the nuanced performances by the bit actors added depth to the film. I was especially taken by the actor playing Raluca's mother. Although she was only on screen for a few minutes I swear the temperature in our home dropped by 10 degrees with just the looks she gave Raul. Her performance was brief but oh so authentic.

I liked that the 'breaking-up' scene was not overly dramatic - which is so easy to do with that type of scenario. On the one hand the viewer wants Paul to get his comeuppance but then you realize that he actually will pay a price - it's written all over his face.

Great treatment of a subject matter that is easy to botch. Kudos to the crew. Especially the sound director for not infusing cheesy 'mood' music. The mood was set by the dialogue and fine acting - a rare thing indeed!

Brilliant!

Excellent

I speak a little Romanian and therefore selected this movie. It was okay, that's about it but well played. It does depict a bourgeois couple that has money to spend. Not at all, depicting the majority of the poor population in Romania that is poor.

Wonderful ~

Really terse, but a great character study.

Very good. I am happy the sound was well recorded. Enjoyed it.

i liked it. it was a little sad but not over the top.

Heart-breaking, horrible, spot on.
