I really enjoyed the tone of the film, the way that the story of the downfall of a Communist dictator was set in such everyday terms, the way that the characters carried on with their lives even under this tyrannical rule and how the film wasn't just a depressing story about how depressing dictatorship is but a really joyful story about how one simply carries on when life is hard. I loved the little boy and his older sister and how their innocent perspectives put such a childlike on the social realistic drama.
