Don't get me wrong, Dolemite is the better picture, hands down. That being said, this is still my favorite of the Rudy Ray Moore films.
There's nary a dull moment in this masterpiece chalk full of quotable dialog, bodacious badass babes, kung fu fighting (at unnatural speeds), and some of RRM's best rhymes.
I've watched this picture many many times over the years, but I had never seen this cut. When i started watching, I was horrified that the beginning was cut, only to be relieved that this was just sequenced differently from the version on my VHS copy. This also featured a few scenes i had never seen.
This is a gritty cult picture of the time of night club wars. A place with conflicts so ridiculous and mesmerizing, that it seems like a dream.
Look for a young and virile Ghost Buster, Earl Hudson and black kung fu legend Howard Jackson.
Oh, get ready for the sequence of the mobster's trophy wife suffering from a severe case of jungle fever. It is NOT to be missed. I'd love to try and describe it, but I'd hate to give anything away.
Watch Dolemite, and then if you hunger for more, jump into the Human Tornado.

Superbad! Super-Funky! SuperDolomitexpialidocious! This killer kung-fu showdown is a righteous follow-up to the legendary "Dolemite." It's bawdy, outrageous and flat-out badass--just like the main character. It's all about Rudy Ray Moore here, who belts out a raunchy-but-charming energy on screen. It's Dolemite's world; he just lets us live in it.
An unbelievable masterpiece! Rudy Ray Moore is a great American and a 20th century treasure. Watch this at least once in your life while you have the chance.
