Eleanor Roosevelt may have begun as an ugly duckling, but in the end she had a happy confident radiance about her. She seemed truly happy. She was admired and respected by everyone who knew her, both at home and abroad.

Wonderful curating of archival footage. Sensitive and keen editing. Brilliant and fascinating subject.

My, God. What have we become as a Nation, as a people. It is with great sadness that I realize we no longer have the fortitude, conviction, and courage of our forefathers. Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt was the last of the way America was supposed to be. How sad I feel. There are very few if any that can measure up to her.

A great movie about one of the most inspiring women of all time; too bad there are none such as she alive today.

How I wish I could have met her! What a lady!

The reverence that people have shown the life of Eleanor Roosevelt are put into total context in Kaplan's film. Her accomplishments were the thing of envy.

amazing inspireatonal woman..
