The Beast Must Die1974

  • 3.3
Wealthy big game hunter Tom Newcliffe has tracked and killed practically every type of animal in the world, but one creature still evades him, the biggest game of all - a werewolf. In this little horror film, a wealthy sportsman invites a house full of guests to a big-game hunt that he's devised. He's sure that one of the guests is a werewolf, and he intends to stalk it, find it and kill it. As a film viewer, you are alerted at the outset that a mystery awaits and that clues will be unveiled that can point to the identity of the werewolf. In fact, near the conclusion, the film has inserted a thirty-second interlude during which you must decide, once and for all, who the hunted beast is.

Nothing says horror like a lighthearted horn section. There's also a super slow, drastically boring car chase sequence where everyone seems to be doing 30 mph on a dirt road.

All of the characters are uninteresting, but one of the dudes looks like Duane Allman, so that's cool.

yeah but it also had a funky 70s porno bass line lol

wow just wow. Peter Cushing is awesome in everything. This is a very goofy, very campy werewolf movie. Truly listen to the narrator during the opening and pay attention for the "Werewolf break" It is a sight to behold. the movie is very silly, it takes itself seriously and its all the more endearing for it. I rather like Cushings movies, so I may be more forgiving than most, but I really enjoyed this nonsense

I bet all the other werewolves pick on this one for being so small. About the size of a German Shepherd in a spirit hood. Poor wolfie.

Yeah, it's bollocks. In a funky way.

Not your typical horror film, a bit like And Then There Was One with werewolves. It's a bit dated but could be a fun riffing film.
