Silver Jew 2007

  • 3.7
A film by Michael Tully documenting two shows by David Berman and his band the Silver Jews in Tel Aviv and an afternoon in Jerusalem during their first ever tour. Fifteen years after the band's inception, this tour is treated as the amazing and improbable event that it was.

Not an easy film to make -- actually, no film is easy to make well -- focused on one person at one location talking about a personal subject, but Tully does an excellent job in making the story and character engaging.
