Very, very impressive. The woman (Dina) who said that, with the coming of the Russians & the end of their fighting, their lives became suddenly normal again, speaks volumes about who these young people were & who they became later. True courage & bravery is a humble thing.

Not exactly untold, since Partisans of Vilna also dealt with the topic earlier. But insightful testimony is elicited about what the partisans did, why, how they dealt with moral dilemmas, and what made them willing to take extreme risks.
history is a great thing and learning is something special
excellent everyone should watch this
Wow! I have watched this three times now, and am still in awe. These seemingly common people DID fight back against the SS. The history of the Jews often makes it sound as if they were weaklings who simply marched to their slaughter. This film shows that was far from the truth. I am so impressed at how these people survived and then managed to put together a life. I love that it shows them in their present day life (when the film was shot) so that we can see their families. I did not realize that even after fighting for the Jewish cause, they were treated with contempt as they tried to repatriate in the homeland, Israel. sad.
Loved it. A lot of history with unknown brave people with good intentions for survival.I say unknown to me because I am not Jewish but know very much about the histories which were taught to me in school or in movies. Now I have learned something new. Thankyou
Interesting.
