Play in the Gray2009

  • 3.8
PLAY IN THE GRAY is a penetrating, and at times vulnerably raw, portrait of the work, art and emotional lives of the members of All the Kings Men. All the Kings Men is a drag and cabaret inspired theater troupe based out of Boston. Behind the scenes, Katie, Maria, Julee, Karin, Jill and Leighsa, the members of All the Kings Men, practice hard, spend long hours on the road and struggle to "make it:" they want All the Kings Men to be a household name. In its first year the film played theaters from Boston to Cambodia to Europe. The universal themes of loving, getting hurt, suffering disappointment and being courageous ignite conversation and reflection in audiences from all walks of life.

very entertaining' Educational, informative and broadened my gay horizon.Recommend especially to theater students. Funny as hell too. Love the King's Men!

I ENJOYED THE FILM. IT WAS GOOD TO GET A MORE IN DEPTH POINT OF VIEW OF HOMOSEXUAL WOMEN. PLUS SEEING SOME OF THE FAMILIES WAS VERY INTERESTING. FOR PARENTS TO LOVE THEIR CHILDREN UNCONDITIONALLY WAS GREAT. IF ONLY ALL FAMILIES COULD LOVE THEIR HOMOSEXUAL FAMILY MEMBERS FOR WHO THEY ARE AND NOT BE JUDGEMENTAL OF THEIR SEXUAL PREFERENCES WOULD MAKE THEIR HOMOSEXUAL LOVED ONE'S LIVE LESS COMPLICATED.
