This was wonderful beyond words. It's a two level structure made up of facts and the truth; you have to read the two structures together to understand that the truth is not factual and the facts are not true, and what they work together not to say or see is the desert of the real, neither true nor factual, where human life unfolds under carnivore stars that spell out what one can live but never know from inside life. The final punch-line is that there is no one outside life to know meaning and no meaning inside life to know.

who's who & what's what i have no idea_a beautiful mystery _you watch it not trusting anything
Mezmerizing visuals, and intense gender identity trauma, weave two stories together in a braid of mysterious energy. The force of destiny is stronger than the force of MAN, especially when he is practicing "cultural Sadism". A potentialy disturbing film, but a strong piece of Art. Strangly Beautiful.
Very David Lynch, I'm not sure how to describe it. It's not for everyone.
Visually stunning, haunting and surreal. So much of the reasons I watch independent and foreign films lie in just this film. There are no computer generated effects, rather, the reliance on mood, music, ultimates in cultural beauty and so forth. Extremely ambiguous. What lies between "reality" and the dream realm? Such a lush and gorgeous film.
It was a bit weird, but I've never seen a Moroccan movie, and it was nice to see a glimpse of the old country I spent some good time in.
