Steve Buscemi at his nascent best. Powerful, dynamic film.
Thirty years later, in a very post-Parting Glances world, I am reminded how panic-stricken the world was when AIDS was new. I love how movies can capture the moment better than any documentary. It totally rings true to that moment in 1985 when it was just terrible to hear that you would die of it. It seemed so final, momentarily! Great movie if you want to sense what young people were feeling back then. This is one of Steve Buscemi's first movies and already he stands out. I was glad to see it again.
Well crafted, good acting and a story that was touching. Great film.
A charming slice of 80's life in Manhattan
Fascinating for who's in it, for its structuring, its pacing. Memorable.
This is a humorous and delightful movie. The charactors were well developed and portrayed well by the cast. I enjoyed the laughing it caused me and recommend it to anyone
Beautiful. Funny. Sad. Artistically and poignantly very 80s. Touched me to the core.
A wonderful relatable film.
I ENJOYED THE MOVIE WHEN IT CAME OUT YEARS AGO AND STILL ENJOYED THE MOVIE NOW. I WOULD GIVE THE MOVIE A FOUR STAR RATING.
HAD NO IDEA WHAT THIS MOVIE WAS ABOUT
