  • 3.7
ORGASM INC. explores the strange science of female pleasure and in the process reveals the warped mentality of our pharmaceutical and medical industries. Director Liz Canner embarks on a nine year odyssey as she follows the companies who are racing to be the first to win FDA approval for a product to cure “female sexual dysfunction.” The prize: billions of dollars in profits. Featuring illuminating footage and interviews with activists, doctors and medical experts, ORGASM INC. will change the way you think about sex.

This is not about entertainment or fantasy or relationships. It is about women's health and about blatent greed on the part of big pharma. Evidence abounds that billions are being spent to invent a disease so that corporations can reap massive profits. Men have taken the sucker bait with Viagra-et-al and now women are being targeted with manipulative and dishonest advertising that is supposed to convince them that they have this new disease and must get this new pill. Rubbish and outrage. Watch this film. Think of it as an inoculation against medical bullshit. Corporations have their experts who know how to deceive us, and we give ample evidence that we are vulnerable to manipulation and are easily incubated with FUD - Fear, Uncertainly, and Doubt. Better that we should use common sense and be skeptical of unsubstantiated claims, distorted "surveys", and "expert" testamonies. When pressed, even those involved in the creation and testing of the many drugs aimed at this market, admit that the claim that there is a "disease" that needs their pill, cannot be substantiated. We ain't all the same, we're not supposed to be. Don't pay any attention to those who might imply that our individuality is in any way a "disease" or is abnormal. We are normal, and that is just fine! The film tells the story that needs to be heard. Watch it.
