Hopefully my rating is unfair. For me the film had almost no human interaction, except in the last twenty minutes with what seemed to be communal insanity. No clues were given it seemed about the significance of anything. I didn't sense anything poetic except in views up into the canopy of the jungle. The river was the most memorable part of the whole movie. The men at the end were very good paddlers, and there was a kind of musical rhythm in their strokes in a movie that was basically soundless. It was like a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle where almost all the pieces look alike. I didn't know where to begin to find a way to interact with this movie. If there were secret hints, they were too subtle for my mind. I concluded every place could be boring, but I have faith if you knew the characters better, if they were revealed more, they would be very interesting.
