French drama and Chekhov what a sexy ambitious mix. This is a beautiful film about us and about mirrors and the mirrors are reflecting on themselves, like a circle of them all facing each other, revolving round. . Highly poetic. 5 Stars in my book.

All about some sex-y, hungry people - just like the rest of us, but I didn't find much love-liness there. Somehow, Lili herself didn't quite click for me. The initial "screening" was an attempt to portray her depth, but I didn't find much there. The film seemed well cast, but I found myself more comfortable with the old folks. I'm 81. (Note: I wanted to give it three AND A HALF stars. )
edgy, puzzling, nervous/anxious, calming, ugly, very beautiful.................
Nice, elegant French flick with Chekhovian overtones.
loved it really_everyone in it is great love Lili & Jeanne-Marie_& Julien even Julien's mother Mado everyone is so good in this_& the film within the film is really special_it's hard being real sometimes especially if $$ depends on it
Disheartening, pretentious attempt to paint over Chekhov. Sagnier is compelling, talented and has a work ethic. Many other very good and great actors in this effort. Otherwise, like watching the sausage being made. Suggestions: Sagnier in 'Huit Femmes', 'Les Bien-Aimes'.
