James Dean: The First American Teenager1976
James Dean is one of popular culture's greatest icons. He was the archetypal Hollywood rebel who lived fast and died tragically young at the age of just twenty-four. Dean's starring roles included EAST OF EDEN, REBEL WITHOUT A CAUSE and GIANT, but his reputation as an actor and a man surpassed his short film career. In this definitive biography, Ray Connolly, David Puttnam and Sandy Lieberson trace the enigma that was James Dean. Using a combination of exclusive interviews with Dean's contemporaries and footage from his films and life, JAMES DEAN: THE FIRST AMERICAN TEENAGER follows Dean from his humble upbringing on a farm to Hollywood super-stardom.

Quite good early documentary about James Dean, with good film clips and commentary from some of his costars and contemporaries.
Good documentary. Lousy music. I mean, come on, Candle in The Wind?
YES
Could have had more information of his childhood and teenage years.
