Fandor is about discovery. It is a window of opportunity to learn titles, names, bodies of work. Case in point: Kihachiro Kawamoto. I hadn't heard of that name until a few years ago, but this dynamic animator has been producing amazing work for over 40 years. "House of Flames" is an excellent introduction to his work; Japanese folklore fused with the dreamlike qualities of classic stop-motion animation--a perfect match, really. I look forward to seeing more of Kawamoto's work.
