Flotsam/Jetsam2005
A grainy black-and-white adventure on the high seas turns into something else entirely in this typically idiosyncratic short from David and Nathan Zellner, their very first to appear at the Sundance Film Festival. Adrift in the open water, a man clings to some floating suitcases (along with a caged rooster). A sudden twist, however, reveals yet more dangers. Quick and ruthless, the absurdist FLOTSAM/JETSAM tosses the rules of film overboard and then tries to save them. One of the Zellners’ personal favorites of their films, and "probably the most fun because it was a genuine adventure out in shark-infested waters," recalls David. - Jason Sanders

Amusing short film. Well, amusing for some, I suppose.

What happens when things stop being pretentious, and start getting real.
It's important to learn how to properly fire a flare gun before setting out to shoot an art film.
