A lot of avant-garde, abstract, conceptual-style short films, in my opinion, fail to evoke any real affect or effect in the viewer -- they either try too hard, or just fall short. This one actually conveyed a cohesive, tangible set of feelings and impressions. Felt like an acid trip slowly spiraling somewhere, maybe downhill.
