Based on extensive research by producer/director Martha Davis, DOCTORS OF THE DARK SIDE is the first feature-length documentary that exposes the scandal behind the torture scandal, how American psychologists and physicians betrayed their oaths and actively facilitated (and covered-up) the torture of detainees in U.S.-controlled military prisons in Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo and select CIA Black Sites. This little-known story is told by military, legal and medical experts, and portrayed through staged demonstrations of the doctors' role in the Enhanced Interrogation Techniques (EITs) as spelled out in declassified government documents.

This documentary is devastating. I know that we can get into issues of whether or not torture is good for getting information, but the idea of doing some of these things to another human being and being able to sleep at night is too haunting to even imagine. One of those documentaries when at the end you want action and justice, but in the end, you know that the likelihood of this is nil. Such a heartbreaking idea.

WOW!OMG! Every American physician, psychologist, ethicist, humanitarian, spiritual person and ANYONE who gives a damn about humankind needs to see this. It has to be one of the most dreadful but revealing documentaries out there. Torture did NOT end with the Bush-Cheney administration...it is thriving under the authorization of the Obama-Biden administration....The last mention that I've heard of medical-psycholological torture authorized fully by the American presidency and government is when John McClain was running for president and made a stand against its use. These doctors and psychologists are evil and sadistic and condoning continual harm to a human being. By far equal to Dr Mangel's sadistic treatment and torture of men, women and children Nazi death camps. It is an ethical and moral outrage to what this nation is supposed recognize worldwide "that all men are created and endowed by their Creator CERTAIN "INALIENABLE" RIGHTS WHICH ARE LIFE, LIBERTY AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS....INALIENABLE directly meaning in="not"alienable="able to be transferred to a new owner'---unable to be allocated to another person, inability to be foreign. Anyway it is nauseating, disgusting and violates every standard. The documentary is very well documented and arranged. The deepness and darkness of this movie is many times very disturbing and angering.
