I cannot recommend this movie enough. It's an absolute gem. The story, the acting, and the way it's all visually put together is absolutely marvelous.

There is only one reason I didn't give five stars: I couldn't watch the whole film. It is so well done, actors don't over-act, it is all so real, so gripping. This is the first time I can remember not finishing a film because of the dread, the feeling something bad was going to happen, and that I couldn't control it - except to turn it off. I seldom watch horror movies and I'm now certainly not going to easily catch another one. But if horror films supremely well done are your thing, watch "Cure."

3 1/2_sometimes i really liked this film sometimes i was really bored with it_got tired of Mamiya pretty quick his mystery just dragged on & i didn't care_but there's a lot of cool stuff happening so i think it's worth while

This film really awakened something in me. 10/10. Will be watching again. Genuinely loved it all the way.

One of the most interesting films of the late Nineties. It's provacative, mysterious, and thoughtful. This is K. Kurosawa at his best.
