Agnès Varda eloquently captures Paris in the sixties with this real-time portrait of a singer set adrift in the city as she awaits test results of a biopsy. A chronicle of the minutes of one woman's life, CLÉO FROM 5 TO 7 is a spirited mix of vivid vérité and melodrama, featuring a score by Michel Legrand and cameos by Jean-Luc Godard and Anna Karina.

There is not a single shot in this fine little film(2 hours on the first day of Summer)that doesn't hold something of interest for the viewer. The flow never seems to be interrupted for any reason,seamless in a way with a great editing.The characters move in and through Parisian daily life and we can partake in a Summer's day with them. Corrine Marchand does a fine job as a woman searching her soul.Agnes Varda should be commended for making this little slice of life gem.

This just gets better and better every time I watch it. Look for cameos by Godard and Ana Karina in the film-within-a-film :-)

wonderful film_love Cleo_love Jean-Luc Godard & Anna Karina in the silent film_all sweet_i wasn't sure in the beginning_but it keeps getting better_sweet love story_beautiful film & i really like Agnes Varda
