"Sometimes in a smaller theater, away from the searchlights and the 24-hour fans making privacy impossible for poor Brad and Angelina, you find an independent film that is miraculous. Such a film is CHOP SHOP.” - Roger Ebert

Ecstatic to see Chop Shop on Fandor. Ramin Bahrani's first 3 or 4 films are simply superb. Hoping to see Goodbye Solo on here soon!

I don't know how to rate this. It was very well acted, and produced. It is bitter and it's sweet. Not a happy film, in fact pretty bleak.

Thought provoking film. The disparity between abject poverty and exaggerated wealth is starkly represented by the 7. It's like the dividing line between the two states of life. Those of you from Queens will recognize what I'm referring to.

Awesome film!!
