In 2005, the Fulton Fish Market was moved from Downtown Manhattan to Hunts Point in the Bronx. Somewhere between a video-portrait, an archive of night-workers in the Bronx, a video-atlas and a sketching of the displacement of a historical landmark, the film spirals out as the fish sellers, buyers, filet men, truck drivers, journey men and security guards share their impressions of the new location, the old market, the neighborhood, and their relationship with the ocean, boats and fish. Built along topographic and geographic lines rather than narrative ones, the film itself drifting into the "no man's land" often used to describe the market itself.
