Excellent. Absolutely wonderful, simple tale. Please watch.
This truly is an international film that takes place in a border town on the Iranian side, in a truck stop restaurant. The story is about a widow's struggle to keep her independence and raise her children alone after her Iranian husband has died. And just like what you'd encounter in a border town, many cultures, languages, attitudes converge. It's a contemporary story, but the cultural issues are ever relevant. Traditions and honor clash with personal will and self-determination, and the woman bears the brunt of this.
Very good!
just so powerful, acting is even surpassed by the food and comfort of the cafe
A film with a feminist edge in the familiar Iranian tradition of veiled critique. I look forward to have a woman director's perspective represented as well.
Great story. Simply filmed so that the power of the story is played bare. Loved the music.
Eye opener with delightful moments.
