Spaghetti Westerns are a bit like a Snickers Bar. There’s a million of them out there, you pretty much know what you’re going to get before you bite into one, but once you do, it S-A-T-I-S-F-I-E-S !

Case in point: “Boot Hill,” starring Mario Girotti and Carlo Pedersoli—better known as Terence Hill and Bud Spencer. The film is a bit of a romp, a signal that Spaghetti Westerns were starting to turn more towards the broad comedy of Hill and Spencer’s highly popular “Trinity” films. Some great, familiar faces—Woody Strode, Lionel Stander, Victor Buono—help keep things moving along in this entertaining example of the genre.

3 ½ Loved the Trinity movies when I was a kid, so it was a real treat to watch a Terence Hill/Bud Spencer Western after so long and to see that these are still highly entertaining - and not just from the nostalgia. The leads of course are charismatic and fun as always, but a traveling circus with clown dwarfs, showgirls and ragtime band and some great secondary characters make this a real pleasure.

great entertainment
