If you look closely, at the 20 second mark, you'll see a very familiar-looking mouse locking down the manhole trap that Bimbo has tumbled down--yes, THAT mouse! That little gag is a great example of the rivalry between the Fleischer Brothers and Disney Studios, and of the sassy, streetwise sense of comedy that made their work distinctive. Dave Fleischer was one of the great innovators in early animation.

What a bizarre little animation. So many sharp knives and dancing flames. Definitely twisted and fun. I'm going to show it to my kids tomorrow.
The Fleicher genius with great visuals - show this to your kids America. Beats the crap Hollywood throws at them - and no produce placement or toy tie-ins.
Nice Betty Boop cameo!
I love animation. Even this short one.
This is what animation is all about.
Sheer genius. I have no idea where these ideas come from, but put them in the context of the depression and the radio era and you realize how unbelievably creative these people are. It makes me want to do acid again!!! EVERYONE is sure to love this. Don't be a fool, watch it, and then watch it again.
Quirky and wonderful, this is a great satire of fraternity life and the propensity of a woman's presence to change everything for a straight man.
"Wanna be a member" still makes no sense, but the animation is so inventive -- great.
original humor, many, many years of laughter,...........
so weird, so great
Better than Un Chien Andalou, and shorter.
Hot diggity damn.
Bimbo is innocently walking down the street and suddenly finds himself in a bizarre, surreal nightmare. The Fleischers did this so well pre-code.
Amazing.
This one is a bit strange, not always in a good way.
QUITE SADISTIC......
I loved it! Just the kind of cartoon that would have been my favorite as a kid.
Saw this crazy short for the first time when it played before a screening at the Alamo Ritz during SXSW. Glad it's now on Fandor so I can watch it again whenever I want.
