Im deaf so I can't really hear the narration of this documentary, nontheless I watched it, as I am a fan of Anita Eckberg. I first discovered her in the great Fellini masterpiece, "La Dolce Vita". Anita starred in the Eurospy film, "The Glass Sphinx". I spent more than 4 hours adding sub to my copy of it so I can watch it in subtitles. She is marvelous in Fellini's short in "Borracio 70". I thank Anita for making the world more beautiful. It is sad that she passed away a few years ago.

This was flat. I good idea, but it felt almost like a video lecture. No artistry, just didactic with a bit of editorialization to trivialize the whole endeavor.
for Ekberg fans
An essayist delivers an eyelid sagging explanation of Anita Ekberg's aesthetic importance in cinema. With the sluggish intonations of a dying Talkboy, Mark Rappaport takes us on a 17 minute Xanax ride. You get to hear obnoxious terms such as "ample" and "bosom" thrown together with the syrupy tension of a closet creeper. This is pretty odd and uninteresting, altogether.
Bellisimo.
A good short film for those of us who like Fellini films and fills in the gaps of what we know about one of Fellini's greatest stars.
Wistful, funny, poignant. Obviously not a portrait of la Ekberg, but an essay inspired by her. it inspired me. And no cheap shots at the voluptuous sex diva which I applaud. There is stuff in this that I shall remember for long time.
Fun very entertaining
This was a fascinating and visually compelling documentary of the cinematic creation of a sex goddess. I was saddened that such a potentially talented as well as beautiful actress was used in ways that, possible with exception of La Dolce Vita, did not allow her to express her talents.
I believe this a "video essay". As such, it was interesting. A lecture with visuals.
Brilliant!
Lovely little film essay, with an underlying poignancy.
thoughtful and well done
OH YEAH MM
Mark Rappaport has a unique way of talking about stars -- either your cup of tea or not. Personally, I like his style. Moreover, his material is well researched and the clips are fascinating.
