The Word is Love
Of course they fled the country with their money "tight in their clutches." It's their own fucking money, why shouldn't they?
Richard Audley Vaughan born in New York to Jamaican parents, was not trained as a filmmaker but his passion to share with the world the love he has for his heritage led him to release his first documentary The Word Is Love: Jamaica's Michael Manley (2012). "I not only wanted to show the love I have for my heritage but, also show the world that there is more to Jamaica than reggae and beaches." It is that same desire that led him to create a 4 part web docu-series titled Undeniably Jamaican (2013 - 2015), which showcases Jamaicans in the diaspora who are doing things not normally associated with Jamaica. He has a few projects in the works so stay tuned and keep an eye out for them.
