well done, a true learning experience
I found this quite tedious and intellectually shallow. Not a documentary, not a scholarly probing, just a fan interviewing some people and prowling around Wagner's former stomping grounds.
Wagner and Me, Stephen Fry's BBC produced meditation on his conflicted obsession (he's Jewish after all) with all things Wagner. Suitably fabulous, appropriately balanced, in the end superb.
