Nandan Rao

Nandan was born and raised in Corvallis, Oregon. He received a BFA in film production from NYU in 2010, after which he moved back to the small, idyllic town of Corvallis because he thought it was dope. Since then, his artistic output primarily consisted of working as a cinematographer on small-scale American productions as well as directing two films, The Men of Dodge City (2012), and Hawaiian Punch (2013). In 2013, he founded Simple Machine, an online marketplace that seeks to encourage people to create more film festivals by helping them find films and get in contact with the filmmakers. Nandan currently lives in Copenhagen, Denmark where he works as a software developer and invests heavily in the pastry scene.
