Lendita Zeqiraj

Born in Kosovo, award winning film director Lendita Zeqiraj is declared ‘National Filmmaker of the Year 2014’, and won “The Annual Film Excellence Award for Cinematic Achievements” by the Kosovo Ministry of Culture.

She's worked on a number of short and documentary films, which have participated in over 150 International Film Festivals, such as International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, Thessaloniki Film Festival, Cairo film Festival, Leeds Film Festival, Vilnius International Film Festival, Trieste International Film Festival, Hamptons Film Festival etc., winning prizes in a number of them.

Her last short film Balcony, premiered in Competition Orizzonti at the 70th Venice Film Festival and screened at over 120 International Film Festival such as Telluride Film Festival, AFI FEST, Palm Springs Short Fest, Warsaw International Film Festival, Busan International Film Festival and won over 20 international awards, including the Special Jury Award at the AFI FEST 2013.

She is currently working on her debut feature film, The House, whose screenplay won the Grand Prize at American Movie Award, Golden Award at Hollywood Screenplay Contest, it was an Official Finalist at New York Screenplay Contest and Silver Prize winner at Beverly Hills Screenplay Contest.
