Lothar Mendes

Lothar Mendes (19 May 1894 – 25 February 1974) was a German screenwriter and film director. His best-known work was the 1934 film, Jew Suss. From 1926 to 1928, Mendes was married to British-born American actress Dorothy Mackaill. The marriage ended in divorce. He was born in Berlin and died in London.
