John Ashley
John Ashley (Born John Atchley on December 25, 1934, Kansas City, Missouri & died on October 3, 1997) was raised in Oklahoma. Ashley attended Oklahoma State University. He became an actor and singer who appeared in many films, most notably the American International Pictures' "Beach Party" films. In the 1961–1962 television season, he appeared with costar Brian Kelly on ABC's Straightaway a half-hour series about auto racing which ran on Friday evenings. Later in life he became a behind the camera producer and produced TV hits including The A Team, The Quest and Walker, Texas Ranger. Ashley was married to beach actress Deborah Walley from 1964–1966. He died from a heart attack at the age of sixty-two. Ashley's voice can be heard as the narrator during the opening title sequence of The A-Team during the show's first four seasons.
