Barbara Garrick

Barbara Garrick (born December 3, 1965) is an American actress who portrayed DeDe Halcyon Day in the three television miniseries based on Armistead Maupin's Tales of the City novels. She was nominated for a Gemini Award in 1999 for Further Tales of the City. Garrick was born in Los Angeles, California and graduated from the Juilliard School of Drama. Garrick appeared as Allison Perkins on One Life to Live from 1986 to 1987, returning from 2001 to 2002 and again in 2003. Garrick returned to the series on January 25, 2008 for about a month. She once again returned to OLTL for a brief run as Allison in late February 2010 and finally, came back for the daytime series' last days. On January 13 2012, the final episode, Garrick narrated the entire episode and had the distinct privilege of uttering the last spoken words on the show, "things are rarely what they appear". She also has played various characters in several episodes of Law & Order, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Her stage credits include Eastern Standard, Stanley, and A Thousand Clowns.
