Ah, absinthe! WONDERFUL ABSINTHE details the process of louche or, rather, what happens when a distracted drinker believes they are adding water when they aren't. Back in the day, that could be a problem. These days, with a great absinthe, not a problem (though it could still produce an unexpected surprise).

Interesting only for it's age. The whole thing is over before you have a chance to process what is going on.
