"Before VIRGIN, I never put much stock in the idea of a 'cursed' production. Take a film like INCUBUS. Just because the director's nephew died, the production company went belly up and Roman Polanski and Sharon Tate attended the premiere. Those could all just be coincidences. Shit happens. But with VIRGIN, you could just smell the vapor of evil clouding the set. It didn't help that our chief investor was a ranking member of the Church of Satan. In the end, we tallied three overdoses, a maimed-for-life set designer, bankruptcy and a car bombing (sort of). Even the film itself disappeared. Not just the prints. The film lab burnt down and we lost the negative. All I've got left is the nine-minute opening and the sound-sync is fucked." - J.X. Williams

J.X. Williams has a real knack for creating images that are both disturbing and beautiful and then combining them with dissonant sounds to create something that is far greater than the sum of its parts. The Virgin Sacrifice is a perfect example. Recommended to horror fans who want something more than the latest Hollywood slasher or to anyone in the mood to indulge their dark side. Also would work splendidly as background visuals for a party (depending on the crowd).
Right from the start of this film I felt a strange chill..I'm glad the the majority of the footage was lost, there's enough evil n the world today.
Trippy as HELLLLL
This movie had such potential!!! The psychedelic imagery and cheesy story line is classic cult cinema. Total shame the rest is missing.
70's grindhouse classic! What's not to love about it.
Not much there to go by. Visuals about par for the course for drive in exploiters back then.
Visually quite interesting.
Would have loved to see the complete movie!
Very artistic, 10 minute short film about black mass. Visual and surreal, hypnotic and very trippy. Totally has that early 70's feel. Very glad I found this!
