This narrative short film packs in as much story line, character development and power as many 2 hour films. Very moving. The kind of film that haunts one.
I thought Toyland is an amazingly efficient film, effectively cramming all of the necessary information for the narrative of the story into a very short film. Highly enjoyable to watch. Sad as Hell.
Amazing character development in a very short film. The enchanting and magical world of childhood is juxtaposed with the horrors and cruelty of the holocaust.
The generosity of one woman opposite the cold hearted Nazis.
My only complaint is that the movie did not explain the danger this heroic woman was putting herself in by defying the Nazis.
Reminiscent of Life is Beautiful.
