There's something strange going on at Deadlock House, a secluded French retirement home. The residents seem like nice people but employees are disappearing and the whole place seem a bit odd. The boarders are vegetarian, the house director plays the same creepy tune on the piano over and over again and one man, in particular, seems overly violent and agressive. Unfortunately for Martine (Isabelle Goguey), the new staff nurse, she's about to discover the horrifying secret of Deadlock House. A secret so evil she may not live to see the dawn! As night falls, something evil walks the hallways. Something with a taste for blood and human flesh! Raphael Delpard directs this rare, underrated French horror classic chock full of strange characters, surprising gore and mesmerizing atmosphere.

thanks to the buzzybee there was no need to watch the movie.. thanks for putting a spoiler without announcing it.
pretty strange, but i didnt think the girl would die in the end, i never figured the good looking guy to be a cannibal like the others, but i shouldve known if he was staying there he was like the old people with a similar secret.
Not as ostentatious as Argento's Suspiria, but still gleefully grotesque, here is a movie about the dangers of failing to age gracefully. But whoever says nursing home food is bland certainly hasn't seen this movie.
Really entertaining, a bit shocking, definitely surprising. It's a really interesting film that alternates between campy/facical and malevolent and intense. Worth the watch.
So-So, I don't speak French. Although it was a shame she didn't get away after all of that trying.
