This Fleischer Studios “Color Classic” finds a couple of island birds' habitats briefly invaded by some “Big City Orioles” who act like a big band. The lady of one of the pair is seduced away to the promise of stardom, requiring her mate follow to the mainland to reclaim his by-now-disillusioned love. During the Great Depression, tropical “paradises” were a favorite fantasy often indulged in movie plots and Hawaiian music enjoyed a novelty vogue at the time.
