Um. Nice try?

It's a great poke in the eye at Star Wars. Just great. Everyone should have their own copy to watch before you sit down and watch all 6 chapters of the movie.

Hell, I can remember it when it came out. I am getting too effing old.

A classic of spoof cinema. I can remember HBO showing this as filler in the early 80s. Loved it then and now.

Still as good as I remember it.

My teachers in elementary would show Hardware Wars projected on a screen after lunch. That was high tech $#!t in those days!! And it's still as mildly amusing as ever. I totally forgot they got Paul Frees to narrate.

"Hardware Wars" can be seen all over the net, but it's nice to see it recognized with a spot on Fandor. This is the first film parody I can remember seeing (on 16mm film in a church basement, if I recall correctly). It's uncannily like a Mad Magazine version of "Star Wars" -- every character an outrageous caricature, throwaway gag after throwaway gag -- put on film.
