Winner of "Best New Director" at the 2008 Hong Kong Film Awards.

Johnnie To produces this crackerjack thriller directed by To's longtime screenwriter Yau Nai-Hoi with an all-star cast. Hong Kong Police's elite SU (Surveillance Unit), led by its veteran leader Wong (Simon Yam), has been monitoring Shan (Tony Leung Ka-Fai), the criminal mastermind whom Wong suspects may have been involved with a series of recent jewelry heists. The cat-and-mouse game between cop and robber intensifies as Shan prepares to pull off the biggest heist of his criminal career right underneath Wong and his SU's watchful eyes. EYE IN THE SKY is one suspenseful pursuit that never lets up from the riveting opening sequence to the nail-bitingly intense finale.

Great movie!!! The characters, "dog head", and "piggy" are awesome; their characters pull you into the movie.

another essential Hong Kong cop thriller (time to let go of mole stories) which is tight, and keeps your mind on the edge as you follow the surveillance team through high angles (akin CCTV), tight teamwork and features an wicked soundtrack as well to keep the pace fast.

Great film period! The cast is good, the pacing is good and the story is good. I haven't watched much of these Hong Kong action movies before, but I'm ready to see a lot more!
