Lena (Christina Lindberg) is a young teen in need of excitement and sexual satisfaction. I question whether one might call this a cult film. It is just plain masterful. There may be a particular spirit of Scandinavian films, like Bergman, but I find his films boring. This film uses dream imagery to get at the protagonists' psychology in a way that is exciting as it is intuitively accurate. It never disappoints because imagery is imagery and reality is reality.
