Daniel Wu (THE SHINJUKU INCIDENT) stars in this action comedy, the directorial debut by actor Stephen Fung (HOUSE OF FURY). Hong Kong’s top triad leader Hung appoints his gay son Georgie (Wu) to be his successor before he dies. But Hung’s loyal right-hand man Cheung mistakes his roommate Sam (pop superstar Eason Chan) as Georgie instead. Fearing that his sexual preference may be revealed, the real Georgie agrees to let Sam be “Big Brother” while he plays second fiddle. However, Hung’s rival Chow (Fung) still holds a grudge against his deceased enemy and will do anything to become the next Big Boss by killing Georgie. Or is it Sam? A wonderful mix of mistaken identity, tongue-in-cheek dialogue, star-studded cameos and trademark Hong Kong action, ENTER THE PHOENIX is both a soaring gender-bender and a charming homage to Korea’s gangster comedies.

OMG! I was wondering where is Jackie Chan, dam they just used him to sell this movie, It wasn't that funny or interesting:( I just like the cute real son:)
Really funny and offbeat with some suspense. Lots of fun in Hong Kong!
Light-hearted romp touches all the necessary bases, but the results are decidedly mixed. Comedy is emphasized at the expense of drama and tension, and the narrative wanders from scene to scene, without apparent motive, a guilty pleasure movie, and its not bad at all.
