"...a Dickensian nightmare that's conspicuously sans adult supervision." - Edward Larsen Terkelsen, the Film Palace
What is someone to do when the Christmas toys at the orphanage are broken? If you're Professor Grampy, you come up with something better! Replace the old with the new using everyday household items. Seasons greetings!

I thought it was very cute and nice
Reminiscent of my childhood.
another gem from the Fleischer Studios
Love the early animations. The story actually had a good moral - not just gratuitous violence. Sweet.
A film about orphaned children with broken toys on Christmas from 1936 has real resonance--how bad was Christmas for the poor in the 30s? It could not have been good.
