BACK TO NORMANDY is a film about the passage of time. In seeking out the cast, Philibert explores how we make connections between past and present, creating our own meaningful and personal narratives. As Phillibert reveals the motivations for the crime of Pierre Rivière, we also learn of the mysterious disappearance of the melancholy young villager who played him, Claude Hébert. When we finally learn what became of him, the parallels between the actor and his role are startling.

Artfully done, a woven tapestry of time. Now im searching to find the original film the film is based on. Interesting to see the passion it takes for a film maker to put together a project with little funding , the uncertainty of funding or a release date. I recommend this film because it's interesting but i also recomend it to those who truly have a passion for filmmaking.

I loved the idea of this moving and found the topic interesting. It is a bit long, hard to follow and get through, but interesting nonetheless.
