Why don't you have the film I’m looking for?

Alas, so many films so little time! We are constantly working to expand the library. Our curatorial team travels the world to find films and meet with filmmakers. We strive to provide you with ample films that suit your tastes and welcome suggestions sent to info@fandor.com.

Can I watch in HD?

Through a special feature of our player called “dynamic streaming,” you are delivered the best film quality possible. When HD streams are available and your bandwidth connection is high enough, HD streams are automatically used. If watching in HD would disrupt your viewing, the player shifts to a more stable resolution.

Why didn't the average rating show up when I rated a film?

A film’s rating appears only after it gets a certain number of user ratings. If you were one of the first people to rate a film, an average rating may not be visible.

How do I submit a film to Fandor?

Our curators are always looking for new titles. If you made a film that you would like them to consider, please send a screener to 731 Market St. Suite 600, San Francisco CA, 94103.

What is the Fandor Channel?

Programed by our team of curators, the Channel offers subscribers the opportunity to sit back and enjoy a series of great films the instant they log in.

Can I watch films outside the U.S.?

At the moment, distribution agreements allow Fandor to show films in the United States only. We would like to eventually become an international service.

How do you choose the "Related Films” on the film pages?

Films with similar genres and filmmakers appear in “Related Films.” Sometimes additional data also affects which films appear (such as how much the film has been watched and reviewed and whether it has related articles).

Why does the film quality vary?

Due to the wide range of production formats, different films play with varying quality. We strive to make the viewing experience as flawless as possible.

Where can I find out more about the films and filmmakers?

For reviews and criticism, look at “Related Articles” on each film page, which displays articles from Keyframe, Fandor's Digital Magazine. For cast and crew details and full director filmographies, there are many valuable resources on the Internet.
