A great interview (BUG is an insane masterpiece that only a sane person could’ve made), though Friedkin’s quote on how 35mm has a death notice on it was heartbreaking. And Eddie, I could almost hear the wheels turning in your head when Friedkin said a new print of SORCERER was made last year.

What a gracious,and,yet,straightforward interview. Good job Eddie.
As a private film restorer, I know the plight of our film legacy and how much it needs public attention. Perhaps something similar to Change.org, -which can get a quarter-million signatures for some wonderful causes, but lets face it some of them are questionable- would be a good template. With the proper exposure we could put Warner, Universal, and the rest of them on notice for the way they are letting film history literally turn to dust.

We intended to add, via phone, a discussion of the performance of Juno Temple in KILLER JOE, but I couldn’t get my act together in time. Add her to the list of actors who have given breakout performances in Friedkin movies. I’m sure you’ll read elsewhere of how she came to be cast in film, a really great story. She is the revelation of KILLER JOE and I apologize for not giving the woman her due in this interview.
