Based on the novel by Yann Martel, with a screenplay by David Magee, Ang Lee’s Life of Pi looks to be a welcome sort of 3D spectacle, one that applies its trickery to living forms here on Earth. The cast: Suraj Sharma, Shravanthi Sainath, Tabu, Adil Hussain, Irrfan Khan, Gérard Depardieu, and Tobey Maguire.
